The End of Evolution
					Introduction:
In the year, 1859, The Origin of Species
by Charles Darwin was published.  The world has not been the
same since!  His theory claims that all life came about by
blind chance, by accident, and we’re not created by a
super-natural being.  And through the years, life became
					more and more complex.
Why has this theory become so popular and
accepted by so many?  They believe it gives them a
scientific reason for not believing in God.  If there is no
God, there is no moral law and people can live any way they
					desire!
					But believers should not compromise,
apologize, or hesitate in holding to their belief in a
divine Creator.  There is ample evidence that all life was
created by a super-natural being.  (Isaiah 44:24-25, Isaiah
					42:5)
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He
who formed you from the womb.  ‘I am the Lord, who makes all
things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads
abroad the earth by Myself; Who frustrates the signs of the
babblers, And drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men
backward, And makes their knowledge foolishness;”  (NKJV)
“Thus says God the Lord, Who created the
heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth
and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people
on it, And spirit to those who walk on it:”  (NKJV)
Read the account of Newton and his
					handmade solar system.
“The fact is we need little more than
common sense to tell us which alternative is true.  This is
well illustrated in a story about the great
seventeenth-century scientist Sir Isaac Newton, who had a
marvelous replica of the solar system sitting on a table in
his laboratory.  In the center of the device was a model of
the sun, and spinning around it on thin metal rods were
eight small globes representing all the known planets.  The
model was fitted with belts and pulleys so that the
slightest touch would set the mechanism in motion.  And it
moved perfectly, just like the solar system.
One day a colleague who did not believe
the Bible’s account of creation stopped by Newton’s
laboratory for a visit.  When he spotted the model sitting
there on a large table, he walked over for a closer look.
He reached out and touched the metal rods and, like
clockwork, the tiny planets began to move in well-oiled
					precision.
The visitor was delighted.  “What a
magnificent machine!”  he exclaimed.  “My dear Newton, you
must tell me:  who made this amazing contraption for you?”
Newton paused for a moment, then smiled
					and said, “Nobody.”
“What?” the visitor exclaimed, shaking his
head in disbelief.  “Nobody, you say?  How can that be?”
					“Yes, that’s right,” Newton insisted.
“The balls and belts and pulleys you see here came together
entirely by accident, and by some unknown miracle they move
along in perfect orbit just as you see them now.”
At that point, the skeptic realized what
Newton was saying.  How foolish to think that a detailed
model of the solar system could come together by accident.
But how much more foolish to think that the earth, moon and
stars – and all of God’s creation – could come into
					existence by mere chance.”

How Evolution Causes a Culture to Decline
					Quote from Dr. Craig:
“One Rabbi who was imprisoned at Auschwitz
said that it was as though all the Ten Commandments had been
reversed:  Thou shalt kill.  Thou shalt lie.  Thou shalt
steal.  Mankind has never seen such a hell.  And yet, in a
real sense, if naturalism is true, our world is Auschwitz.
There is no good and evil, no right and wrong.  Objective
					moral values do not exist.”
					Ideas have consequences.  Since Darwinism
began to be accepted in our society’s various institutions,
					the results have been disastrous.
					· Darwinism claims that nature is all
there is.  There is no room for God, the Bible, or moral
absolutes.  It teaches that there is no ultimate meaning
beyond our temporary physical existence.  Ethics and morals
are just illusions.  Survival of the fittest is the ruling
paradigm.  This idea makes euthanasia, infanticide, etc.
perfectly acceptable.  But believers know better.  They know
there are moral absolutes and they do not have origins in
the natural world.  They are based upon the very character
of God.  (I Peter 1:14-16)  “as obedient children, not
conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your
ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be
holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy,
					for I am holy.”  (NKJV)
					· The legacy of Darwinism lives on as seen
in the decline of moral values.  Listen to the words of
Benjamin Wiker as quoted in the New Oxford Review.
“We live in a time of complete moral
revolution, when moral boundaries are being crossed so
quickly that they fly past in a blur like so many telephone
poles, as we hurtle into the new millennium.  If we flipped
through newspapers surfing the last half-century, we would
see the divorce rate blossom, the introduction and wild
spread of legalized abortion, sexual hysteria, men marrying
men, women marrying women, in vitro fertilization of a
grandmother with the eggs of her daughter fertilized by her
son-in-law, pedophiles clamoring for legal recognition,
partial-birth infanticide, the marketing of “fresh” baby
parts from abortion clinics, and now a British panel
recommending human cloning for cell research.”
					· Darwinism inevitably leads to a sense of
hopelessness.  Quote from Cornell University historian,
					William Provine.
					“The implications of modern science,
however, are clearly inconsistent with most religious
traditions.  No purposive principles exist in nature.
Organic evolution has occurred by various combinations of
random genetic drift, natural selection, Mendelian heredity,
and many other purposeless mechanisms.  Humans are complex
organic machines that die completely with no survival of
soul or psyche.  Humans and other animals make choices
frequently but these are determined by the interaction of
heredity and environment and are not the result of free
will.  No inherent moral or ethical laws exist, nor are
there absolute guiding principles for human society.  The
universe cares nothing for us and we have no ultimate
					meaning in life.”
Solomon more than two thousand years ago
stated that a life without God is truly meaningless.
(Ecclesiastes 2:10-11)  “Whatever my eyes desired I did not
keep from them, I did not withhold my heart from any
pleasure, For my heart rejoiced in all my labor; And this
was my reward from all by labor. Then I looked on all the
works that my hands had done And on the labor in which I had
toiled; And indeed all was vanity and grasping for the
wind.  There was no profit under the sun.”  (NKJV)

					Conclusion:
At one time Antony Flew was one of the
most well-known atheists in the world.  He conducted many
debates with believers including Brother Thomas Warren.  In
the spring of 2004, he announced that he had become
convinced by the evidence that God does exist and is the
Creator of life.  His announcement stunned the world.
Belief in a Divine Creator was more reasonable than belief
					in blind luck.
					Read Acts 17:24-27.
“God, who made the world and everything in
it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in
temples made with hands.  Nor is He worshiped with men’s
hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all
life, breath, and all things.  And He has made from one
blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the
earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the
boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the
Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find
Him, though He is not far from each one of us;” (NKJV)
